Team Notes: Quinnipiac Takes on Colgate

The Quinnipiac University men’s ice hockey team takes on Colgate University on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Starr Rink in Hamilton, N.Y. The Bobcats are coming off a 2-1 overtime loss to Cornell on Friday night, while Colgate lost to Princeton, 3-2, in overtime. The Bobcats stand at 14-11-2 overall and 7-6-2 in ECAC Hockey play, good for 16 points and fifth place in the league standings. Colgate is 7-15-5 overall and 2-10-3 in league play. They are currently tied for 11th place in the league standings with seven points.

All-Time Against Colgate
Quinnipiac 3-7-1 all-time against Colgate, dating back to their first meeting on Dec. 2, 2005. Colgate has won the last two meetings, including a 1-0 win on Nov. 7 earlier this year. The Bobcats are 2-4-1 all-time at Starr Rink.

On Friday night, Matt Sorteberg became the second player in Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey history to play in 150 games. Former teammate Reid Cashman holds the all-time record with 151 games played.
