Team Notes: Quinnipiac Hosts Clarkson and St. Lawrence

The Quinnipiac University men’s ice hockey team will host
Clarkson University on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. and St. Lawrence on
Saturday, Nov. 7 at 4 p.m. Quinnipiac comes into the game with a
record of 4-1-0 overall. Clarkson is 3-4-0 overall while St.
Lawrence is 4-2-1. Quinnipiac’s two games against its North
Country foes are the first of four-game homestand for the Bobcats.
Quinnipiac will play Harvard on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7:37 p.m. in a
game that can be viewed in the New England Sports Network. The
Bobcats will then host Dartmouth on Sunday, Nov. 7.

Scouting Clarkson University
Clarkson University comes to Hamden on Friday, Nov. 6 with a
record of 3-4-0 following back-to-back losses to Minnesota-Duluth
last weekend. The Golden Knights' previous other two losses came at
Michigan State to open the season, running Clarkson's record on the
road to 0-4-0 on the young season. Matt Beca is Clarkson's leading
goal-scorer, with five through seven games. Louke Oakley leads the
Golden Knights with one goal and eight assists for a team-high nine
points. Brandon Fazio and Nick Tremblay have both totaled one goal
and six assists for seven points. Paul Karpowich has logged the
majority of the minutes in net for Clarkson, starting five of the
Golden Knights' seven games. Karpowich is carrying a 3.62
goals-against average and a .899 save percentage.
