Cashman Recalled to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton
WILKES-BARRE, PA -- The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have
recalled former Quinnipiac defenseman Reid Cashman from the
Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) it was announced on Wednesday.
Cashman, 20, has recorded 18 points (5+13) in 21 games with the
Nailers this season. He has also appeared in 14 games with the
Penguins this season, recording five points (2+3) and a plus-1
rating. Both of his goals were game-winning tallies (Feb. 3 at
Philadelphia, Feb. 6 vs. San Antonio in overtime).
The native of Red Wing, MN, has appeared in 29 career AHL contests
with the Penguins and Toronto Marlies, recording nine points (2+7)
and 22 penalty minutes.
Cashman was signed by Wilkes-Barre/Scranton as a free agent on
July 24, 2008.
