Team Notes: Quinnipiac Takes Ice for First Time

For the second consecutive year, the Quinnipiac men's ice hockey
team will welcome the University of Prince Edward Island to the TD
Bank Sports Center for an exhibition game. The Bobcats and Panthers
hit the ice on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 4 p.m. The game will be the first
on-ice competition against another opponent of the year while
Prince Edward heads into the weekend with a record of 2-1-0. Prince
Edward Island will play Rensselaer on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. in
Schnecetady, N.Y.

A live video stream will be available for sunday's
exhibition game and can be accessed on the Bobcat Channel free to
all Bobcat fans. WQAQ's Corey Hersch will have the play-by-play
with color commentary provided by Andrew Gau. In addition, live
statistics will be available for the game courtesty of
www.quinnipiacbobcats.com.
Autism Speaks Fundraiser
The Bobcats will host a fundraiser during Sunday's
exhibition for the charitable organization, Autism Speaks.
Following the Bobcats game against Prince Edward Island University
at 4 p.m., youth ice hockey groups will hit the ice at the TD Bank
Sports Center to play a series of cross-ice games with Quinnipiac's
men's ice hockey players. Donations will be accepted on site, while
Quinnipiac student-athlete will be selling men's ice hockey
memorabilia to benefit the cause.
