Quinnipiac hockey coach Rand Pecknold is still holding onto a
glimmer of hope that Brandon Wong, his top center, will be healthy
enough to return to the lineup in time for the postseason.
But at this point, it’s a rather low-wattage glimmer.
Wong, who excels in just about every phase the game, suffered a
knee injury early against Robert Morris on Jan. 23. At the very
least, he will miss the remainder of the regular season. Pecknold
said he expects to hear a conclusive answer from test results
today, and that nothing is definitive until then.
