Team Notes: Quinnipiac Battles No. 20 Dartmouth

It’s Hartford Whaler Night at the TD Banknorth Sports
Center on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009. Prior to the Bobcats’ ECAC
Hockey showdown with nationally ranked No. 20 Dartmouth College at
7 p.m., Quinnipiac will honor several former NHL players.
Quinnipiac is riding a four game win streak that included the 16th
Annual Toyota UConn Hockey Classic Championship in its first win
over Harvard at the TDBNSC. The Bobcats are 10-6-1 overall and
5-3-1 in ECAC Hockey. Dartmouth enters the game at 8-4-0 including
a 5-2-0 mark in league play. They are currently ranked 20th in the
USCHO.com/CBS College Sports Poll and 23rd in the USA Today/USA
Hockey Magazine Poll. A live videostream will also be available
through the Bobcats Sports Network.
On The Air
Don Boyle will have the play-by-play for tonight’s game,
joined alongside by Chris Kotsopoulos with the color analysis. All
Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey home games will be available on
the Bobcats Radio Network on flagship WQUN 1220 AM (Hamden/New
Haven), ESPN Radio 1410 (Hartford), WLIS 1420 AM (Old Saybrook),
WMRD 1150 AM (Middletown) and www.quinnipiacbobcats.com.
All-Time Against Dartmouth
Quinnipiac is 3-3-1 all-time against the Big Green with their last
win coming on Jan. 6, 2008 at the TD Banknorth Sports Center when
the Bobcats came away with a 5-3 victory. Quinnipiac is 2-1-0
all-time on their home ice, including a 1-1-0 mark at the TD
Banknorth Sports Center.
