Fresno Acquires Travis from Trenton
FRESNO, Calif. -- The Fresno Falcons announced that they have
acquired rookie right wing Dan Travis, who played at Quinnipiac,
from the Trenton Devils in exchange for future considerations.
The Falcons are the ECHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks of
the National Hockey League and the Rockford IceHogs of the American
Hockey League. Mike Haviland, who is one of two coaches to lead two
different teams to the Kelly Championship, and John Torchetti, who
was a coach and player in the ECHL, are assistant coaches for the
Blackhawks.
Selected in the fifth round (141st overall) by the Panthers in the
2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 24 year old has one goal and two penalty
minutes in five games for Trenton which acquired him on Nov. 11
from Florida where he played three games.
