Team Notes: Quinnipiac Opens Campaign at Omaha Stampede

Quinnipiac opens the 2008-09 season on Friday, Oct. 17 when they
travel to the Omaha, Neb. to play in the ninth annual Mutual of
Omaha Stampede tournament hosted by the University of
Nebraska-Omaha. The Bobcats play at 5:05 p.m. ET on Friday against
ECAC Hockey foe Union. The winner of that game will play in the
championship game on Saturday at 8 p.m. against the winner of
the game between American International College and host
Nebraska-Omaha.
ECAC Hockey Player of the WeekQuinnipiac senior wing Bryan Leitch (Coquitlam, B.C.) was named the ECAC Hockey Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Week on Oct.14, 2008. The senior forward totaled three goals and two assists in Quinnipiac's exhibition win over the University of Prince Edward Island on Oct. 9.
Good Tune-up
The veterans were in full force against Prince Edward
Island last week. In addition to Leitch's three-goal, two assists
performance, junior linemates Jean-Marc Beaudoin scored twice while
Brandon Wong finished with three assists.
