Quinnipiac on a Roll

Coach Rand Pecknold's belief that Quinnipiac is an NCAA
tournament-caliber team was confirmed at the TD Banknorth Catamount
Classic last month.
Though the Bobcats were without three defensemen because of
injuries at the tournament in Burlington, Vt., they beat Western
Michigan 2-1 and Vermont 4-1 to win the title.
"Teams face adversities all the time," Pecknold said. "Whether it's
coping with injuries, being two men short in a game or whatever,
we've been able to step up."
