Muzyka Among Quinnipiac Hall of Fame Inductees

Quinnipiac University Athletics today announced that Ed Muzyka is among eight former student-athletes, two teams, a current administrator and a current head coach, who will be inducted into its Hall of Fame during a special ceremony on February 28. Inductees were selected by the Athletics Advisory Board, and it marks Quinnipiac's first Athletics Hall of Fame induction class since February of 2003.

Men’s Ice Hockey, 1982-86
Muzyka is one of the top-scoring defensemen in Quinnipiac
men’s ice hockey history. For his career he totaled 104
points – which rank second all-time on the school’s
career scoring list for blueliners – including 66 assists. In
his senior year he led the Braves to an 18-8-1 record, the best
win-loss mark for Quinnipiac at the time. As a senior captain
Muzyka was the first defenseman in Quinnipiac history to top the
100-point plateau. In addition to his 66 assists, Muzyka notched 38
goals – the most for a Quinnipiac defenseman all-time. In
1986, as a senior, Muzyka was voted the team’s Most Valuable
Player and Top Defensive Player after leading Quinnipiac to its
first ECAC Tournament appearance.
