Team Notes: Quinnipiac Hosts Colgate in League Opener

Quinnipiac will host Colgate on Friday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. at the TD Banknorth Sports Center. Quinnipiac enters the game following a 4-1 win over Connecticut in their home opener last Saturday night and carry a 2-2-0 overall mark. Colgate is 3-1-0 following a split last weekend when they defeated Robert Morris, 5-2, before losing to Union, 4-2, in a non-conference game. The game on Friday is the first ECAC Hockey game for Quinnipiac and Colgate.

The “Voice of the Bobcats” Bill Schweizerwill have the play-by-play for Friday night’s game, joined by former NHL veteran Chris Kotsopolous with the color analysis. AllQuinnipiac men’s ice hockey home games will be available on the Bobcats Sports Network on flagship WQUN 1220 AM (Hamden/New Haven), ESPN Radio 1410 (Hartford), WLIS 1420 AM (Old Saybrook), WMRD 1150 AM (Middletown) and www.quinnipiacbobcats.com.

Series History

Quinnipiac is 3-5-1 all-time against Colgate, dating back to their first meeting in Hamilton, N.Y. on Dec. 2, 2005. Colgate won that game, 4-3, before winning three of the next four meetings through the 2005-06 season. The Bobcats’ swept Colgate during the 2006-07 season before earning a tie in their first meeting last year, 1-1 in Hamilton, before losing at home, 4-3, in overtime on Feb. 24. Quinnipiac is 1-2-0 all-time on their home ice, and 0-1-0 in the only meeting between the two teams at the TD Banknorth Sports Center.
