Habs Need Halpern

When the Canadiens' charter flight touched down here yesterday, veteran Jeff Halpern was among the 22 players on board. That's good news as the Canadiens prepare to face the Philadelphia Flyers tonight (7:30 p.m., RDS, CJAD Radio-800).
Halpern will be a welcome addition to the lineup after missing two games with an upper-body injury suffered in last week's 2-1 overtime loss in Buffalo.
The Canadiens need all the help they can get against the Flyers, who are the hottest team in the National Hockey League. They lead the league with 69 points and have an 8-2-0 record after beating the Chicago Blackhawks 4-1 Sunday in an NBC game between last season's Stanley Cup finalists.
