ANAHEIM -- Of the 467 players to come through
the ECHL to get to the NHL, you might not guess that Anaheim Ducks
enforcer George Parros is one of the more decorated alumni.
The 31-year-old is entering his seventh NHL season, but already
has his name on the greatest trophy in all of sports, as he was
part of the 2007 Ducks team that topped the Ottawa Senators to
capture the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise
history.
But before that, Parros was a member of the Reading Royals,
skating in three games during the 2004-05 season while collecting
nine penalty minutes in the process. Parros has since gone on to
rack up 865 penalty minutes over the course of 367 NHL games, all
but two of them coming as a member of the Ducks.
