INCH A to Z: Bob Prier

Background: Bob Prier was a standout player and nine-year member of the coaching staff at his alma mater, St. Lawrence. Last season, he stood in as acting head coach while Joe Marsh dealt with some medical issues, and earlier this summer Prier was named as Princeton’s head coach. He replaces Guy Gadowsky, who is now leading the start-up program at Penn State.
Prier was a four-year player at St. Lawrence and captained the 1998-99 team that finished as ECAC Hockey runner-up and played in the NCAA Tournament. He finished his college career with 116 points in 133 games. He was a Boston Bruins draft pick in 1996, and signed a free-agent contract with the Ottawa Senators after graduating.
