EDMONTON -- General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with Princeton defenseman Taylor Fedun, a free agent, on a two-year contract.

Fedun, 22, just completed his fourth year with Princeton, and has 22 points (10G,12A) in 29 games. The captain of the Tigers has appeared in 127 games during his tenure at Princeton scoring 20 goals and adding 48 assists for 68 points. He is also +41 and has accumulated 154 penalty minutes.

The 6’1”, 210-pound blueliner came to Princeton to major in Mechanical Engineering after spending a couple seasons in the Alberta Junior Hockey League where he served as an assistant captain with the Spruce Grove Saints and was named to the All-Star Team as well as the Saints’ most valuable player.

Fedun is part of the Princeton Class of 2011, which graduates as the winningest class in program history with 72 wins over the last four years. He will report to the Oilers AHL affiliate, the Oklahoma City Barons.
