CAMROSE -- Kirk Lamb always thought he was an average minor hockey player, but he had no idea the game he loved would lead to playing NCAA hockey at an Ivy League university and then a law degree.
Lamb's story is sure to inspire those around him this week as he walks through the Edgeworth Centre in Camrose during the RBC Cup -the Canadian junior A hockey championship -which wraps up on Sunday.
''I wanted to give back," says Lamb, 32, who was recently appointed chairman of the Canadian Junior Hockey League. Although it's a volunteer role, he oversees 10 junior A leagues encompassing 137 teams and 2,500 players across Canada.
