PRINCETON - The Princeton men's hockey team continues its race
to the postseason with a two-game set in New York's Capital
District against 16th-ranked Union and Rensselaer.
Princeton managed just a point in the North Country last weekend,
dropping a one-goal decision on Friday at Clarkson and skating to a
2-2 tie on Saturday against St. Lawrence. The results moved the
Tigers to 7-4-2 in the last 13 games since the mid-December and
4-2-1 since the mid-January final exam break.
On Friday, Clarkson rallied in the third period to claim a 4-3
win. Princeton built leads of 1-0 and 2-1 on goals from Mike Kramer
and Dan Bartlett, but Clarkson grabbed the momentum with two quick
goals to start the third period. Derrick Pallis would add a Tiger
goal in the closing minute with an extra attacker on the ice, but
Princeton could not overcome Clarkson's lead in the one-goal loss.
