Kalemba to Showcase Skills in Binghamton
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Binghamton Senators announced today they have signed former Princeton goaltender Zane Kalemba to a professional try-out contract.
Kalemba has split the 2010-11 season with the Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League and the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.
The Saddle Brook, N.J. native has appeared in one game with the Jackals. Kalemba made his ECHL debut Nov. 13 stopping 19 of 22 shots as the Jackals defeated the Trenton Thunder at First Arena in Elmira.
The 5-11, 185-pound Kalemba spent four seasons with Princeton University (2006-2010) where he appeared in 108 games, posting a 57-44-5 record. Kalemba was nominated for the Hobey Baker award following his junior season where he set Princeton single-season records for wins (22), goals-against average (1.82) and save percentage (.932).
