PRINCETON - The Princeton men's hockey team continues its race
to the postseason by opening a four-game stretch away from Baker
Rink this weekend in New York's North Country against Clarkson and
St. Lawrence.
Princeton saw its season-long three-game win streak snapped last
Friday night by Colgate, but rebounded a day later by defeating
fifth-ranked Cornell 5-3 for the team's fourth win in five games
since returning from the exam break in late December. Princeton is
also 7-3-1 in its last 11 games dating back to a mid-December win
at UMass Lowell.
On Friday, Colgate took advantage of its chances, scoring two
goals 71 seconds apart eight minutes into the second period to snap
a scoreless tie and put the Raiders ahead for good. Mike Kramer
would cut the lead in half for the Tigers late in the second
period, but Colgate stymied any attempts at a Princeton rally in
the third period as the Raiders skated to a 3-1 win.
