PRINCETON - The Princeton men's hockey team continues its
stretch run to the postseason at home this weekend when Colgate and
fifth-ranked Cornell visit Hobey Baker Rink for a pair of ECAC
games.
Princeton enters the weekend winners of three games in a row for
the first time this season and off the heels of its first weekend
sweep of the season after winning at Harvard and Dartmouth last
weekend. The sweep gave Princeton a three-win week and moved
Princeton within a game of .500 for the first time since
mid-November. The Tigers are also 6-2-1 in their last nine dating
back to a mid-December win at UMass Lowell.
After a Monday win over Connecticut, the Tigers took to the road
last weekend and came away with wins at Harvard and Dartmouth. Dan
Bartlett, Princeton's leading scorer opened the scoring on both
nights, as Princeton never trailed over the weekend. On Friday,
Harvard drew even with a second period power-play goal but Marc
Hagel scored the game winner late in the second as Princeton
claimed the 2-1 win. Zane Kalemba sealed the win for the Tigers as
13 of his 34 saves came in the third period under Harvard pressure.
