Rockford Releases Hagel from PTO
ROCKFORD, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor
League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Thursday that the
Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League have released left
wing Kyle Hagel, a former Princeton standout, from his professional
try-out agreement.
Hagel has been held without a point in nine games with the
IceHogs. He has posted 36 penalty minutes in his second stint
in the AHL. The Hamilton, Ontario native will return to the
Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL), where he has posted seven goals, seven
assists and 75 penalty minutes in 40 games during the campaign.
In 90 career professional games, the second-year pro has 14 goals,
13 assists and 259 penalty minutes between the ECHL’s Fresno
Falcons (2008-09), Reading Royals (2008-09) and Las Vegas (2009-10)
as well as the AHL’s IceHogs (2009-10) and Rochester
Americans (2008-09).
