Princeton Sends Three to NHL Development Camps
PRINCETON -- Three members of the 2010-11
Princeton men's hockey team will be attending NHL Development Camps
this summer. Rising senior Taylor
Fedun, rising sophomore Michael
Sdao and incoming freshman Sean
Bonar are all having the chance to compete at a camp with
other top prospects.
Sdao is the only one that is drafted by the team whose camp he
will attend. A seventh round pick of the Ottawa Senators last
season, Sdao also attended the team's camp last summer, prior to
the start of his freshman season at Princeton. As a freshman, Sdao
won Princeton's Hobey Baker Trophy as the team's top freshman.
Ottawa's camp began on Monday and lasts through the week.
Fedun, the recipient of Princeton's 1941 Championship Trophy,
presented annually to that varsity player who best reflected the
winning spirit of the 1941 championship team and in so doing was an
inspiration to his teammates, is attending the Vancouver Canucks
camp. It will be held in mid-July.
Bonar, who will join the Princeton goaltenders next season after
playing two seasons with Penticton of the BCHL, is attending the
Los Angeles Kings prospect camp. Bonar was ranked by NHL Central
Scouting prior to this year's draft but was not selected. The Kings
camp is underway and will continue through the weekend.
Last season Princeton sent four players to NHL Prospect
Camps-Sdao went to Ottawa, Brett
Wilson to Chicago, Jody
Pederson to Vancouver and Zane
Kalemba to San Jose.
