MacIntyre Inks Two-Year Deal with Sharks
The San Jose Sharks have signed forward Cam MacIntyre to a
two-year contract. The young forwards signed with the Sharks as a
college free agent last year.
MacIntyre spent the last four seasons with Princeton University
and in 2009-10, finished with ten points in ten games (six goals,
four assists) as one of the team captains. He finished the season
with eight penalty minutes and had a plus/minus rating of +6.
MacIntyre finished his Princeton career with 60 points (29 goals
and 31 assists), 101 penalty minutes and a +7 rating in 87 career
games.
Prior to battling injuries during his junior and senior seasons,
MacIntyre’s best season came as a sophomore when he tallied
31 points (13 goals, 18 assists) in 31 games, helping lead
Princeton to ECAC and Ivy League titles and their first berth in
the NCAA Tournament in 10 years.
The six-foot-one, 225-pound native of Sooke, British Columbia also
spent three seasons in the BCHL with the Cowichan Valley Capitals
(2003-2005) and the Salmon Arm Silverbacks (2005-06) prior to
attending Princeton, including posting 75 points (41 goals, 34
assists) in 60 games in 2005-06 with Salmon Arm. The forward was
named a captain and first-team all-star of the BCHL Coast
Conference All-Star Team in 2005-06 and captained his teams in all
three years of BCHL play.
