Goeckner-Zoeller Garners All-Star Accolades
The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today the 12 reserves that will play for the South Texas All-Star Team in the 2010 CHL All-Star Game scheduled for Wednesday, January 13 at the Laredo Entertainment Center in Laredo, Texas. Among the 12 players named is former Princeton standout Grant Goeckner-Zoeller, who plays for Rio Grande Valley.
The South Texas team is made up of players from the Laredo Bucks, the Corpus Christi IceRays and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and they will compete against a team of CHL All-Stars comprised of players from the remaining 12 CHL teams. The reserves were selected by the South Texas coaching staff made up of head coach Terry Ruskowski from Laredo and assistant co-coaches Brent Hughes from Corpus Christi and Chris Brooks from Rio Grande Valley.
Competing in his first all-star game, Goecker-Zoeller ranks second among Killer Bees scorers with 38 points, including 15 goals. He has tallied six game-winning and three power-play goals.
