YARMOUTH — Dan Bartlett admits he might feel a little conflicted when he faces the team he once rooted for as he takes to the ice this afternoon on Florida's Gulf Coast.

Bartlett, a senior forward on the Princeton men's hockey team, grew up in Portland. He went to University of Maine hockey games at the Cumberland County Civic Center with his parents, both UMaine graduates, and was a fan of Paul Kariya, who helped the Black Bears win their first national championship in 1993.

"I watched those teams when I was growing up, my whole life," said Bartlett, who worked out last week at North Yarmouth Academy's Travis Roy Arena during his return to Maine for the holiday break.
