The NCAA men’s basketball tournament Selection Show has
become a national media event where television cameras are set up
to capture the reactions of college athletes packed in large
conference rooms anxiously waiting to hear their school’s
name called.
And in some cases, these athletes endure the hour-long program
only to be disappointed to find out they are headed to the NIT.

doesn’t draw nearly the amount of viewers or garner the same
national attention as basketball, but the excitement level for the
players is all the same as they wait and see if their tickets will
be punched to the Big Dance.
