On Tap with ... Dan Bartlett

The following article featuring Princeton forward Dan Bartlett appeared in the March 25 issue of the Daily Princetonian.

Over the past few weeks, there has not been a better forward in the nation than Princeton junior Dan Bartlett. Bartlett has scored in each of the Tigers’ last six games, including seven goals in the Tigers’ five playoff games. After scoring both goals in the Tigers’ 2-2 win against St. Lawrence in the ECAC Hockey Tournament consolation game last Satruday, Bartlett was named to the ECAC All-Tournament team. The Daily Princetonian caught up with the Tigers’ leading scorer to discuss quirky teammates, favorite classes and pre-game rituals.

Q: What was your “welcome to college” moment?

A: My “welcome to college” moment probably came during preseason my freshman year when I realized how hard you have to work on and off the ice to be successful. Specifically, I remember almost drowning in the middle of the pool in Dillon [Gymnasium] during our team swim workout and wondering how that related to hockey.

Q: What was the greatest highlight of your sports career?

A: Last year, winning the Ivy League regular season title, the ECAC [Hockey] tournament, and going to the NCAA tournament was the highlight of my athletic career. Hopefully that will change this weekend.
