Team Notes: Princeton Hosts Final Regular-Season Weekend

The Princeton men’s hockey team hosts Brown and Yale in
its final home weekend of the regular season. The Tigers have four
games remaining, all against Ivy opponents, before the postseason
begins in two weeks.
Where Things Stand
Princeton is 18-7 through 25 games played and sits second in the
ECAC hockey standings at 12-6 with 24 points. The Tigers are
currently ranked 10th nationally in both polls.
The Lay of the Land
Princeton’s split last weekend with Clarkson and St.
Lawrence, coupled with other results around the ECAC, have the
Tigers in second place in the ECAC standings with four games
remaining. Princeton can finish anywhere from first to eighth in
the standings and is guaranteed a home playoff series, whether it
is in the first round or the quarterfinals. The Tigers lay five
points behind first-place Yale and one ahead of third-place
Cornell. Princeton is five points ahead of fifth-place St. Lawrence
and the line between a bye or first-round series.
