Hagel Heads to Rochester

READING, PA -- The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that former Princeton forward Kyle Hagel has been loaned to the Rochester Americans of the AHL.

This marks the first career call-up to the AHL for Hagel, a first year pro who leads the ECHL with 25 major penalties. In 38 total games with the Fresno Falcons and Royals this year, Hagel has scored seven goals, assisted on six others (thirteen points), and picked up 143 penalty minutes. Hooton, who was loaned to the River Rats on Saturday, registered three shots in Albany's 3-2 overtime win against the Portland Pirates yesterday.
