Yopyk Earns Head Coaching Position

After sending a dozen players off to American universities
in its three year history, the Westside Warriors have mined the
NCAA for its new head coach.
The Warriors have introduced Darren Yopyk, 34, as the man that will
guide the Warriors into its fourth season in the B.C. Hockey League
this fall.
For the past four years Yopyk—an all star defenseman in the
Alberta Junior Hockey League as a player—has been a coach at
Merrimack University, an NCAA Division I school, including the past
two seasons as an associate coach.
