Kings Recall Westgarth
LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Kings have recalled former
Princeton forward Kevin Westgarth from the Manchester Monarchs of
the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean
Lombardi announced Friday.
Westgarth, 25, made his Kings/NHL debut with the Kings earlier
this season, recording zero points and zero penalty minutes in two
games. The 6-5, 241-pound native of Amherstburg, Ontario, was
originally signed by the Kings as a free agent on March 16, 2007,
after playing his college hockey at Princeton.
Westgarth began the 2008-09 season with the Monarchs. In 55 games
with Manchester, he has eight points (2-6=8) and a team-leading 146
penalty minutes.
