Princeton Announces Class of 2013
The Princeton men's hockey team has announced its incoming class
that will join the team for the upcoming season. The group of six
players will a Princeton team that has reached the 20-win mark in
the each of the last two seasons and has made consecutive ECAC
Final Four and NCAA tournament appearances.
The class is comprised of four forwards, a defenseman and a
goaltender and replaces a graduating class of three, all forwards.
The 2009-10 roster will include 27 players, split up into 16
forwards, eight defensemen and three goaltenders.
Mike Condon

Condon went 20-8-2 in goal as a senior at Belmont Hill and
recorded a 2.23 goals-against average and had a .934 save
percentage. Condon received several accolades following the season,
including being named the Independent School League's Most Valuable
Player, a member of the All-ISL and All-New England teams, a Boston
Globe All-Scholastic honor and his team's Most Valuable Player. A
season earlier as a junior, Condon was 22-7-3 with a 2.06
goals-against and a .931 save percentage. He was an All-ISL choice
and his team's Most Valuable Player. Condon also played lacrosse at
Belmont Hill.
James Kerr

Kerr spent the last two years of junior hockey in the British
Columbia Hockey League playing for Alberni Valley and Vernon. Last
season he scored eight goals and added five assists for 13 points
in 48 games split between the two teams. He finished the season
with Vernon and helped the team to the RBC Cup as the Canadian
National Jr. A champions. Two seasons ago, Kerr scored 14 goals and
added 29 assists for 43 points in a full season with Alberni
Valley. He was the team's Rookie of the Year and Top Academic
Player.
Rob Kleebaum

Kleebaum has spent the past three season playing with his hometown junior team, the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. The team's Top Playoff Performer the last two seasons, Kleebaum has raised his point totals in each of the three years he has played junior hockey. Last year he scored 31 goals and added 30 assists for 61 points. A season earlier he has 19 goals and 28 assists for 47 points, and his total was 28 on 17 goals and 11 assists in his first season of juniors. Kleebaum also won a national championship playing roller hockey.
Will MacDonald

MacDonald played two seasons of junior hockey with the Indiana Ice of the USHL after playing at Culver Prep. MacDonald helped lead his team to the USHL Clark Cup National Championship last season as he scored nine goals and added 13 assists for 22 points in the regular season and added four points during the team's playoff run. He also won the team's Hardest Worker Award. MacDonald had 19 points in 53 games the previous season as his team won the USHL's Eastern Division. In his final season at Culver, MacDonald was the team's Most Valuable Player and leading scorer with 24 goals and 33 assists for 57 points in 44 games.
Eric Meland

Meland comes to Princeton after one season of junior hockey, playing with the Lincoln Stars in the United States Hockey League. In his season in Lincoln, Meland scored 15 goals and added 19 assists for 34 points in 58 games as he helped his team to the USHL's Western Division regular season championship. Prior to his stint in Lincoln, Meland starred at Red River High School in Grand Forks, N.D. As a senior, he recorded 80 points in 27 games and was the state's leading scorer, a member of the all-state team, and a finalist for the state's Mr. Hockey Award. Meland had 53 points in his junior year and was again an all-state honoree and was the Most Valuable Player of the state's tournament. Meland also earned two varsity letters each in baseball and tennis.
Michael Sdao

Sdao has already been a teammate to two of his fellow future Princeton classmates, playing with Meland in Lincoln last season and teaming with MacDonald at Culver three seasons ago. Sdao has spent the last two seasons with Lincoln in the USHL and has contributed 10 points in each season from the blueline. A physical defenseman, Sdao has 393 career penalty minutes in two seasons of junior hockey. In those two seasons, he has also helped the Stars to a USHL Western Division title, served as an assistant captain and won the team's Hardest Worker Award. At Culver, he was the team's Most Improved Player as a senior on a team that finished the season ranked second in the nation. Sdao also attended a Minnesota Wild rookie camp last season and was a letterwinner in golf in high school.
