Championship, Tourney Berth Highlights Culture Change in Princeton

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The celebration took only a few seconds to explode into a shower of sticks, gloves and helmets.

For the Princeton hockey program, the harmonious mix of carbon fiber, leather and plastic that littered the ice was at least 10 years in the making.

Thanks to a 4-1 win over Harvard in Saturday's ECAC hockey championship at the Times Union Center, the Tigers secured just the second NCAA tournament bid in school history.
