Fresno Retains Marcoux
FRESNO, CALIF. -- The Fresno Falcons announced today that former
Princeton defenseman Daryl Marcoux has agreed to terms for the
2008-09 season.
"When we set out to rebuild this year's roster, we wanted to retain
players that exemplify a strong work ethic and a desire to
compete," Falcons Head Coach and General Manager Matt Thomas
said.
Marcoux enters his second pro season in 2008-09. Last year as a
rookie, he appeared in 62 games with the Falcons, scoring four
goals and adding 17 assists for 21 points, while also accumulating
80 penalty minutes. The 24-year-old led the club in plus-minus with
a plus-18 rating.
"Daryl is a true warrior, and that his reflected in his plus/minus
rating," Thomas said. "He comes to play every night and adds a
reliable element to our blue line. We look for him to add to his
responsibilities this year."
