Jubinville Named Hobey Baker Finalist

Jubinville, the 2007-08 ECAC Hockey Player of the Year and
League Scoring Champion, was named as one of the 10 candidates for
the 2008 Hobey Baker Award, presented annually to the nation's best
men's college hockey player. Jubinville leads Princeton in scoring
this season with 38 points.
Jubinville won the ECAC Hockey regular-season scoring title with 31
points in 22 league games, averaging 1.41 points per game. He
recorded points in 18 of 22 league games played and led the league
in conference assists with 21.
The junior currently ranks second in the league in overall points,
two behind Colgate's Tyler Burton, who has played in nine more
games. Jubinville is averaging 1.23 points per game overall this
season.
Jubinville becomes Princeton's first Hobey Baker candidate and is
one of 10 college players that are candidates for the award. The
Hobey Baker Award is named after the legendary Princeton hockey
player who died testing a repaired aircraft at the end of World War
I, recognizes strength of character both on and off the ice.
The 10 candidates will be trimmed down to three before the Hobey
Baker Award winner is announced in conjunction with the Frozen
Four.
Jubinville and his Princeton teammates take on Colgate in the ECAC Hockey semifinals tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m.
