Goeckner-Zoeller Headed to Florida

Craig Brush along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today
that Princeton forward Grant Goeckner-Zoeller has signed a contract
for the 2007-08 season.
Goeckner-Zoeller signs with the Everblades after completing his
collegiate career at Princeton. During his senior campaign in
2006-07 the 24-year-old finished third on the Tigers with 26 points
(8g, 18a) in 33 games. His assist total was tied for first on the
squad, and he tied for second on the team in game-winning goals
with two.
During his junior season in 2005-06 the native of Los Angeles,
California skated in all 31 of the Tigers' games and led the team
with 15 goals and 14 assists for 29 points, en-route to being named
third-team All-ECAC Hockey.
"Grant is coming off a solid college career," Fleming said. "He's a
creative and crafty player with a strong understanding of the game.
We're excited to have Grant joining our club, and with his good
offensive skills and good vision with the puck think he'll be an
asset to our team."
Goeckner-Zoeller's best season at Princeton came during his
sophomore year in 2004-05 when he registered career-high totals for
points (32) and assists (26) in 30 games, with his point total
ranking second on the Tigers. During his freshman campaign the
6-foot-1, 215 pound forward notched a team-leading 20 points (5g,
15a) in 31 games. Over his four-year collegiate career at Princeton
he amassed 107 points (34g, 73a) in 125 games, with his 73 assists
ranking him fifth all-time in Princeton history.
Prior to joining Princeton, Goeckner-Zoeller split two seasons at
the junior level in the United States Hockey League with Topeka,
Rochester and Sioux City. In 119 career USHL games he scored 37
goals and added 59 assists.
