Grumet-Morris Returns to AHL
San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today
that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed former
Harvard goaltender Dov Grumet-Morris to an AHL contract.
Grumet-Morris returns to San Antonio for his second stint with the
Rampage.
Grumet-Morris, 29, played in one game with the Rampage during the
2005-06 season making 25 saves. He has appeared in 49 career AHL
games posting a combined record of 21-17-6 record, 2.85 GAA, .907
save percentage and five shutouts split between San Antonio
(2005-06), Portland (2006-07), Hamilton (2006-07), Manitoba
(2006-07), Milwaukee (2007-08) and Connecticut (2010-11).
The Evanston, Ill., native attended Harvard where he backstopped
114 collegiate games (2001-05) for the Crimson with a 63-40-9
record, 2.30 GAA, .921 save percentage and 11 shutouts, including
six during his senior season.
The 6-foot-2, 198-pound netminder was selected by the Philadelphia
Flyers in the fifth round (161st overall) during the 2002 NHL Entry
Draft.
