The Harvard men's hockey team begins the final week of the regular season by visiting Brown Tuesday night for the 158th renewal of college hockey's oldest rivalry.

Behind the Bench
Former Crimson captain, NCAA Frozen Four Most Outstanding Player and 13-year National Hockey League veteran Ted Donato '91 is in his seventh season as The Robert D. Ziff '88 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Ice Hockey. He owns a 97-108-21 record, three ECAC title-game appearances and two NCAA tournament bids.

Last Weekend
The Crimson (6-19-1, 4-14-1 ECAC Hockey, 1-7-1 Ivy League) split its weekend trip to Cornell and Colgate, topping the rival Big Red, 4-3, and falling to the Raiders, 2-1.

Alex Killorn (Montreal, Que.) scored twice and Danny Biega (Montreal, Que.) netted the tie‑breaking goal with 7:21 left Friday at Lynah Rink. Danny andMichael Biega (Montreal, Que.) each logged a goal and two assists as Harvard went 3 for 4 on the power play to send the fish‑throwing, sellout crowd of 4,267 home unhappy. Chris Huxley (Weymouth, Mass.) had two assists and helped limit the Big Red to one total shot on three power plays. Ryan Carroll(Hackensack, N.J.) made 10 of his 27 saves in the final period.

Colgate's Robbie Bourdon scored the winning goal with 5:58 remaining Saturday at Starr Rink. Danny Biega scored for the third straight game and Kyle Richter(Calgary, Alta.) made 26 saves.

Delay of Game
Tuesday's game was originally scheduled for Feb. 2 but postponed due to a winter storm.

Busy Crimson
Tuesday's game wraps up a stretch of five games in 12 days for Harvard. The Crimson has played just three of its 12 games since Jan. 8 at home. Harvard will host Clarkson and St. Lawrence this weekend before going on the road in the league playoffs.

Crimson Calendar
Harvard is 19-9-5 in post‑Beanpot ECAC games and 39-22-9 in all post-exam league games under Ted Donato. The Crimson is 20-3-1 in February home games in Donato's six-plus seasons.

Goals, Goals, Goals
The Crimson has totaled 14 goals in its last four games after entering that stretch having scored just once in its previous three contests. The goal total equals the number Harvard amassed in the nine previous games.

Getting Defensive
In its last seven league games, Harvard has held its opponent to two goals or fewer five times. The Crimson limited No. 3 Yale to one goal, the lowest scoring output of the season for the nation's top offense, Feb. 4 and held No. 12 Union, which ranks third nationally in scoring offense, without a goal for more than 46 minutes.

Power Surge
Harvard has scored on seven of its last 11 power plays in ECAC Hockey games, climbing to third in power-play efficiency in league games (16 for 73, 21.9 percent).

The Killers
The Crimson has killed its ECAC opponents' last nine power plays, including a combined 6-for-6 effort at Cornell and Colgate.

Comeback Crimson
Harvard is 2-1-1 in its last four games despite trailing seven times. The Crimson was behind by a single goal each time and on four occasions tied the game within three minutes, 14 seconds.

Drama Kings
The Crimson's last three games have been decided by a tie-breaking goal in final eight minutes the third period. In last week's Beanpot consolation game, Danny Biega tied the game with 4:03 showing on the clock, and Michael Del Mauro (Watchung, N.J.) scored with 2:08 left to lift Harvard to a 5-4 win. Eight of Harvard's 16 games in 2011 have been tied in the third period.

Close Calls
Harvard has lost nine games by a single goal and another game by two goals with one coming on an empty net. In 2011, six of the Crimson's seven league losses have come by one goal, and the other was a two-goal defeat. Of Harvard's 10 ECAC games in 2011, eight have been decided by one goal and another was a tie.

Ivy Implications
This is Harvard's final Ivy League game of 2010‑11. The Crimson is 1-0-1 with eight goals scored in its last two Ivy contests after totaling 10 goals in its seven Ivy losses. Four of those defeats came by one goal, including two by 1-0 scores.

Leading the Crimson
Alex Killorn and Danny Biega share the team lead with 23 points each. Biega shares the league leads among defensemen for goals (eight) and points (19) in ECAC play. Killorn leads the Crimson with 12 goals, while Biega has a team-high 14 assists. Michael Biega has 19 points (7-12-19).

Who's Hot?
Danny Biega recorded seven points on three goals and four assists during Harvard's 2-1-0 week last week. He scored once in each game, including the tying goal against BU and the winner at Cornell. Alex Killorn posted consecutive two-goal games against BU and Cornell and has five goals and two assists in the last four games.

Michael Biega enters Tuesday's game with three points (1-2-3) in the last two games, while Chris Huxley has three assists in the last two. Daniel Moriarty(Bienfait, Sask.) registered assists in both games last weekend, and Alex Fallstrom (Stockholm, Sweden) has four assists in his last three games.

Jan. 7 at Bright Hockey Center
Michael Biega recorded a natural hat trick to rally Harvard from a two-goal deficit, but Brown scored twice in the third period to defeat the Crimson, 4-3. Alex Killorn and Danny Biega assisted on Harvard's first two goals, and Ryan Carroll made 31 saves.

Garnet Hathaway scored the tying goal on a delayed penalty, and Harry Zolnierczyk tallied the game-winner 19 seconds later to erase a 3-2 Harvard lead, courtesy of Biega's second career hat trick. Marco DiFilippo made 32 saves. Each team logged 35 shots.

Harvard vs. Brown Series History
Brown defeated Harvard, 6-0, in the teams' first meeting Jan. 19, 1898 at Boston's Franklin Park, but the Crimson holds a 103‑42-12 all-time series lead. The Bears have won four of the last five meetings after taking just two of the previous 12.

The teams split last season's two meetings. The Bears won, 4-1, at Bright Dec. 1, 2009 before Harvard claimed the penalty-filled rematch, 5-2, Feb. 5, 2010 at Meehan Auditorium. Doug Rogers '10 scored twice, as the Crimson netted three goals in 10 power plays and killed 10 of the Bears' 11 man-advantage chances. Ryan Carroll made 27 saves in the win.

Harvard is 4-1-3 in its last eight visits to Meehan, dating back to a 2004 playoff sweep, and 13-3-3 at Brown since the 1991-92 season.

Scouting the Bears
Brown (8-13-5, 6-11-2, 3-5-0) earned one point on last weekend's road trip, suffering a 7-3 loss to Princeton and tying Quinnipiac, 2-2. The Bears' last two wins came against St. Lawrence and bookended a five-game losing streak. Brown has wins this season against nationally ranked Yale and Boston University as well as ties against BU and New Hampshire.

With Jack Maclellan (14-17-31) out injured, Harry Zolnierczyk leads healthy Brown players in goals (12), assists (15) and points (27). Mike Clemente has started in net for 21 of Brown's 26 games and owns a .900 save precentage and 3.23 goals-against average.
