Maki Extends Stay in Hannover
The Hannover Scorpions (Germany) announced that former Harvard standout Ryan Maki has agreed to a contract with the team for the 2011-12 season. Maki joined Hannover in 2010-11.
“We are happy that Ryan has been extended and decided to continue for another season," said Scorpions CEO Mark Stickel.
A native of Medford, New Jersey, registered 16 points, including eight goals, in 52 regular-season contests with Hannover. He excelled in the postseason, scoring two goals and adding five assists in five playoff games.
Prior to joining Hannover, Maki spent three seasons with the
Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League (AHL). In
2009-10, he played in 61 games with the Admirals, netting six goals
and nine assists. Maki posted 25 points (12g-13a) in his second
professional season with Milwaukee (AHL) in 2008-09, scoring 10
more goals (12) and racking up 10 more assists (13) than as a
rookie in 2007-08. He led the 2008-09 Admirals in plus/minus rating
(+14), and appeared in all 11 of the club’s 2009 Calder Cup
Playoff games.

Entry Draft, the 6-2, 202-pound right wing was also
Milwaukee’s (AHL) nominee for the AHL’s 2008-09 Yanick
Dupre Memorial Award (Man of the Year).
Maki enjoyed four seasons with the Crimson, appearing in 129 collegiate contests from 2003-07. He amassed 72 points on 36 goals and 36 assists. Maki was a member of the Crimson's 2004 and 2006 ECAC Hockey Championship teams.
