Harvard Players Grow Mustaches to Fight Cancer
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Members of
the Harvard men’s hockey team are growing mustaches
throughout the month of November as part of the Movember campaign
to raise money and awareness to fight prostate cancer and other
cancers that affect men.
One in six American men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in
their lifetimes. Members of the Crimson are asking fans to support
their growing efforts and the 33,000 men who will die of prostate
cancer and the nearly 8,300 men who will be diagnosed with
testicular cancer this year. All Movember, individuals can join the
men’s hockey players in supporting the cause of men’s
health by donating to their fundraising team here.
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in the United States and around the world. With their “mo’s,” these men raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.
