Last Weekend
Harvard played its second straight weekend at home, and each game
was settled by a 4-2 score. Against rival Cornell Friday, a bad
start and a host of penalties left the Crimson with a
three‑goal deficit. Harvard battled back on
power-play goals by Alex Fallstrom and Marshall
Everson (Edina, Minn.), but the Big Red sealed the win
with a fourth goal in the final minutes. Danny Biega and Luke
Greiner (Faribault, Minn.) assisted on both Harvard
goals.
Steve Michalek recorded the first win of his collegiate career and Harvard nabbed its first of the season against No. 18 Colgate Saturday. Rence Coassin (Hamden, Conn.), Patrick McNally (Glen Head, N.Y.), Alex Killorn and Colin Blackwell (North Andover, Mass.) scored, with Killorn and McNally adding assists. Dan Ford (Skaneateles, N.Y.) and David Valek (Zagreb, Croatia) each logged two helpers, as Harvard came back from a goal down in the second period.

after playing an exhibition and the first four games of the regular

non-conference opener Tuesday against New Hampshire but then plays
its next seven games on the road and does not have another home
game on the schedule until Jan. 13 against Union.
Last Season: Harvard vs. Clarkson
The Golden Knights got 35 saves from Paul Karpowich and
killed all five Harvard power plays in an early-season 3-1 victory
at Cheel Arena, but the Crimson posted a 3-1 win on the final
regular‑season weekend and swept a road playoff
series. Marshall Everson redirected a point shot by Ryan
Grimshaw (Rochester, N.Y.) to break a third-period tie
with less than six minutes remaining in the Crimson's win at
Bright.
In Harvard's 2-1 playoff-opening win, Danny Biega scored in the game's first four minutes, and brother Michael Biega '11 broke a 1-1 tie with his goal in the third period.
