Leblanc Dons Habs' Bleu, Blanc and Rouge (with Video)
ANAHEIM, CA -- Former Harvard standout Louis Leblanc, a 2009 first-round draft choice of the Montreal Canadiens, made his National Hockey League (NHL) debut with the team Wednesday against the Ducks.
Sporting jersey No. 71, Leblanc saw 10 shifts totaling seven minutes, 52 seconds of ice time in the Canadiens' 4-1 loss. He recorded one shot on goal.
Leblanc was recalled by Montreal Tuesday from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League (AHL). In his first season at the professional level, the 20-year old centerman ranks tied for second on the Bulldogs with four goals and 10 points in 14 games so far this season. Leblanc scored two of his goals on the powerplay and added 48 shots on goal.
