Maguire Member of Inaugural Class of N.J. High School Hall of Fame
NEWARK, N.J. - Former Harvard standout Derek
Maguire ’94 was recently inducted into the New Jersey High
School Ice Hockey Hall of Fame.
Maguire, who tallied 110 goals and 132 assists in his prep years,
led Delbarton School to four Mennen Cup titles from 1988-91. He
played four years at Harvard before being drafted by the Montreal
Canadiens.
“I am humbled deeply by this honor,” said Maguire upon
induction. “My four years of high school hockey in New Jersey
had a big effect on my entire life. Today was the culmination of
one of the most important times of my life.”
