Wearing the captain’s “C’’ on his hockey jersey is nothing new for Harvard University senior defenseman Chris Huxley. He was a team captain at Noble & Greenough, in Dedham, as well his sophomore season at Weymouth High.

Playing alongside Danny Biega on the Crimson’s top blueline pairing, Huxley is also a fixture on the penalty kill and power play units and was second on the team with a plus-2 rating after four games.

The 5-foot-11, 202-pound Huxley led all Harvard defensemen last season with 13 points and was third on the team with 11 assists. His special teams skills were never more evident than when Harvard killed all nine penalties in a sweep of Princeton in the first round of the ECAC playoffs.
