Moore of the Same
The following article featuring former Harvard standout Dominic Moore appeared in the March 20 issue of the Toronto Sun.
If Dominic Moore’s grandkids ask him to tell NHL war stories, he can say he survived playing in Toronto when the Maple Leafs couldn’t win and playing in Montreal when the Canadiens couldn’t lose.
Both situations lend themselves to mass hysteria by fans and media, but after 101 games with the Leafs as part of two non-playoff teams, he’ll take his current deployment with the Habs as they seek seven wins in a row here on Saturday night.
“It’s so much similar in that both teams have a strong culture and that you grew up watching the greats on both sides,” Moore said Friday. “I grew up around Toronto, so I know how big the Leafs are, but in Montreal, there are no Blue Jays or Raptors so everything the hockey club does gets amplified.”
