Grumet-Morris Earns Accolades

PRINCETON, N.J. - Former Harvard standout Dov Grumet-Morris of the Greenville Road Warriors is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 29-Dec. 5, the League announced Tuesday.

The 28 year old was 3-0-0 with one shutout, a goals-against average of 0.67 and a save percentage of .976 in three games last week. He turned aside 21 of 22 shots on Thursday in a 7-1 victory against Gwinnett and stopped all 26 shots in a 2-0 shutout at South Carolina on Saturday. Grumet-Morris ended the week with 35 saves in a 5-1 victory at Gwinnett on Sunday.

Grumet-Morris is 8-2-0 with two shutouts, a goals-against average of 2.10 and a save percentage of .932 in 10 appearances for the Road Warriors this season. He is second in the ECHL in goals-against average, tied for second in wins and tied for third in save percentage.

The native of Evanston, Illinois was a fifth round selection of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Grumet-Morris has appeared in 58 games for Cincinnati and Greenville since 2006 with a record of 39-13-4, a goals-against average of 2.48 and a save percentage of .915.

He has appeared in 29 games with Portland, Hamilton, Milwaukee, Manitoba, Connecticut and San Antonio of the AHL since 2005 posting a record of 8-13-5. He has appeared in two games for Connecticut this season with a record of 0-1-0, a goals-against average of 1.32 and a save percentage of .935.
