Biega Flexes Combine Muscles

In the wake of the NHL scouting combine, many were wondering just how valuable all that gruelling physical testing we see on our television screens at night really is.
No matter what they did on the Wingate or how many times they were able to bench press 150 pounds, there remains little doubt that Windsor Spitfires winger Taylor Hall and Plymouth Whalers centre Tyler Seguin will be gone by the time the Boston Bruins finish making the second overall selection in the NHL entry draft on June 25 in Los Angeles.
But for some of the players farther down the list - those with nothing to lose and everything to gain - the combine provided a unique opportunity to perhaps open some eyes in the NHL's player-development departments.
