CAMBRIDGE -- For goalies, it’s a well-known part of the job description: Be seen, not heard.

It’s the nature of the position. A goalie is alone in his crease — an island of blue ice. Harvard’s Kyle Richter understands he may not get a word in edgewise mid-game, but that doesn’t keep the loquacious backstop from being heard.

Richter, the Crimson’s senior assistant captain, co-hosts a weekly Harvard radio show called “Top Shelf.” Currently, he’s in the middle of his third season talking hockey over the airwaves.
