Maki Receives Qualifying Offer from Predators

The Nashville Predators have extended qualifying offers to seven players, including former Harvard standout Ryan Maki, who spent the 2008-09 campaign with the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Maki competed in 65 games with the Admirals, amassing 12 goals and 13 assists.

The seven players have until July 1 to accept their qualifying offers. Any players who do not sign the qualifying offers by July 1 become restricted free agents, giving the Predators the right to match any contract offered.

The NHL's free agency period begins on Wednesday, July 1.
