Ex-Crunch forward Craig MacDonald has landed a new job, and it's a
long way from Syracuse.
MacDonald told me on Tuesday that he has signed a deal to play in
Germany. He leaves this weekend. He said he had a couple of two-way
offers here, but decided to move on. MacDonald went 15-25 in 40
games with Syracuse in 2008-09, and played eight games in
Columbus.
"I'm tired of bouncing up and down, not knowing where I was going
to be,'' said MacDonald, 32. "I've been thinking about it (going
overseas) the last 2-3 years. You get more and more prepared. If I
didn't go now and experience it, I may never go, right?''
